Su Mali, also known by her Christian name/superhero name Mary, is a character in Realms of the Multiverse.

Design

Mary is a young Chinese woman with a round face, wide mouth, medium sized nose, and small eyes. Her hair is brown and shoulder-length and sometimes partially covers her forehead. Her height is above average and she has a pear shaped figure.

She wears a light brown cardigan over her shirt instead of the standard Mutiara Academy blazer and leg warmers of the same colour except in the summer, where she foregoes wearing both. On days off, she can be wearing the same cardigan over a white blouse, a black knee-length skirt, and loafers of a darker brown.

Her superhero outfit consists of a white, knee-length dress with a green, v-shaped design that gives the illusion of a belt. Her symbol, two green leaves, is emblazoned on her torso. She also has a pair of gloves and an eye mask in same shade of green.

Personality

Mary is a gentle, nurturing woman who enjoys gardening. She starts her first year in Mutiara academy as a pacifist who avoids fighting, allowing her teammates to take to the front lines as she supports and heals them from a distance. She aspires to become a superhero to end what she sees as senseless violence and save innocent lives. Due to her strong aversion to violence, she tends to be easily overwhelmed and panicked when her allies are weakened or fallen.

Her cowardice has haunted her ever since the first attack on Mutiara Academy and she reflected on her abilities. To overcome this, she decided to intern in a physical combat-oriented superhero agency to learn how to fight, and later grows her Soul Arsenal to include more offensive skills as she develops her style of spiritual combat.

Mary is a kind and quiet person outside the battlefield and often volunteers as a member of her local church. She likes cooking and is good with children and animals, despite not having currently pets herself.

Profile

Origins

Mary was born to a Catholic family as the eldest child in her family. As a child, she had a pet rabbit. When the rabbit died, her mother taught her how to plant vegetables in her yard to keep her occupied and as part of teaching her how to cope with loss, grief, and death.

Realms of the Multiverse

Being Aeon's classmate, she is one of the characters introduced early in the story, and the first healer the player has access to in their party. For story reasons, she is one of the few female classmates male Aeon cannot romance.

Tactics

Mary is the player's introduction to healers. She starts with only one damaging skill and her only alternative means of offence is her basic attack, which does not deal much damage because of her low Attack stat. As she is the most effective healer in Class 1-A and obtained early in the story, it would be prudent to include her in the party until the player decides if they want to build Aeon as a healer or until they unlock another one.

If the player decides to keep her in their party, they will find that her very high Spirituality stat and her moveset would expand her role into that of a backup ranged DPS, where she would be able to deal high amounts of Wood damage which may be valuable in certain fights. Still, her Character Trait makes her a better healer than DPS.

RMD thinks that Baek Jiheon's face looks like the face of a nice person, and had the idea of a gentle healer with plant-based powers after seeing her in Fromis_9 MVs.
