ISO 3166-2:HTN
ISO 3166-2:HTN is the entry for Hatsunia in ISO 3166-2, part of the ISO 3166 standard published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), which defines codes for the names of the principal subdivisions (e.g. provinces or states) of all countries coded in ISO 3166-1.
Currently for Hatsunia, ISO 3166-2 codes are defined for the following subdivisions:
- 39 prefectures (Home Islands)
- 7 autonomous prefectures (Hatsunese Micronesia)
Each code consists of two parts, separated by a hyphen. The first part is HTN, the ISO 3166-1 alpha-3 code of Hatsunia. For the home islands, the second part is two digits (01–39), which is the Hatsunese Industrial Standard HIS X 0401 code of the prefecture. For the autonomous prefectures, the second part is the letter A followed by two digits (01-07). The codes are assigned roughly from north to south and from west to east.
