Meoquanee military societies
The military societies of The Meoquanee are the de-facto military branch of the nation as the Meoquanee tribes hold no standing military or national military arm. While separate bands from the tribes, the societies members are broken up among the tribes and are neither subordinate or superior to each other and each usually specialize in a different aspect of the "warrior code" held by the Mequanee. The council chiefs are responsible for overall governance of individual bands and the confederacy as a whole, however the headmen of military societies are in charge of maintaining discipline within the tribe, overseeing tribal hunts and ceremonies, and providing military leadership. In times of war the societies are called upon together and establish a centralized leadership known as the War Chief. Traditionally the War Chief is the High Chieftain of the Meoquanee, however it can be anyone from among tribal leadership should the High Chieftain want someone else appointed in his stead.

Boar Clan
Meoquanee Boar Men (Meoquanee: ᏏᏆᏧᎧᏅᏍᏕᎾ ᎠᏂᏍᎦᏯ) are heavy warriors trained in the traditional arts of Meoquanee combat. Their most distinctive feature is their traditional armor which consists of battle helmets depicting crest animals or ancestors, along with wooden visors, thick leather tunics, and body armor covered with wooden slats or coins. However, as the onset of the 21st century some armor has started to incorporate steel plates underneath. The Boar Men traditionally wield clubs, axes, and shields but have also started carrying guns in a limited capacity as the supply to the Meoquanee tribes has increased in the last years. The Boar men mostly stick to internal military affairs are are rarely seen, if ever, by outsiders.
