Criticism

The Strategic Command has faced wide-spread criticism over the secrecy of its stockpile and launch profiles, in 2004 a reporter went missing after breaking into a nuclear silo along the south coast.

Defensive Methods

Anti-Ballistic Missile Systems

Name Type of Defense
ABM Array ICBM Defense, Missile-based
AEGIS ICBM Defense, Ship Based
Arrow Missile ICBM Defense, multi-platform based
THAAD Mk. II ICBM Defense, Missile-based
National Defence Grid ICBM Defense, Missile-Based
Strategic Defense Initiative ICBM Defense, Laser-Based
A-135 anti-ballistic missile system ICBM Defense, Laser-Based

Hal-1 ICBM Defense, Airborne Laser.

Detection Methods

  • The BMEWS(Ballistic Missile Early Warning System)
  • The EL/M-2080 Green Pine is a trailer-mounted radar capable of detecting inbound ICBM ordnance during the last stages and guides Arrow missiles to intercept. Due to several faults with guidance and the arrow itself, the Mk. II Arrow was introduced with changes to make probability of hitting the target almost 99%. To improve the odds more then one arrow is launched during interception.

Offensive Methods

The following are listings and details of known nuclear warheads, as published by the BDF late 2010
