Detection Methods

  • The BMEWS(Ballistic Missile Early Warning System)
  • The EL/M-2080 Green Pine is a trailer-mounted radar capable of detecting inbound ICBM ordnance during the last stages and guides Arrow missiles to intercept. Due to several faults with guidance and the arrow itself, the Mk. II Arrow was introduced with changes to make probability of hitting the target almost 99%. To improve the odds more then one arrow is launched during interception.
