Lakistan (Kurdish:Kurmancîstan), sometime refer ti as Kalhuristan is one of the four communities of the Republic of Kurdistan—alongside Soranijan, Palewanistan and the contested Rojava region and the Amed Capital Region. . It occupies the northern part of Kurdistan and covers an area of.. Kurmanjistan consist of 19 districts. Its capital is the city of Dêrsim. With a population of as of the 2010 Census, Kurmanjistan is the most populous community in Kurdistan.
