The Liberal Democratic Party (Northeast American States)

The Liberal Democratic Party is a Liberal political party in the Northeast American States. Formed in mid 2004 they have been a major political party in both the national and state legislatures. The Liberal Democratic currently holds the highest number of seats in the House of Representatives with 44 seats and the President of the NAS, Matthew Yates, is a member of the party.

The party's platform has traditionally been progressive with a mix of neoliberal policy here and there. President Matthew Yates' 2005 budget was widely praised by left wing parties including the RPA and SDU for being very progressive, including additional funding for education and social programs while cutting back on the military budget.
