The MDA EF-662 Vampyr is an Acrean four-engined, transonic heavy strategic bomber designed by Degerlund AB and Mattson-Dyrssen-Aestrup AB for the Royal Acrean Air Force.
Both the development and the procurement of the EF-662 precipitated major shifts in all areas of the Acrean research, development, and procurement system. MDA underwent substantial corporate restructuring and overhaul to optimise its ability to efficiently develop major defence programs such as EFX, and it was the first instance of the use of multi-year procurement contracts by the Acrean Ministry of Defence to substantially reduce procurement costs.
