The House of Walker is a noble dynasty and one of the twelve reigning houses of Skavand. It is associated with Valtoria and is originated from Cordonia and New York. The house takes its name from the Skavandian–American Walker family surname. It is the newest house in Skavand and was formed in the 21st century after the marriage of Vanessa Lopes, the Duchess of Valtoria, and Sir Drake Walker. It includes the Duke and Duchess of Valtoria and all decedents of Jackson Walker. The house is also connected to the House of Beaumont through the Duchess of Valtoria and Duchess of Ramsford.
Formation
The house was formed after Vanessa Lopes, the Duchess of Valtoria, married Sir Drake Walker, in July 2021. Originally born a commoner, Vanessa become a legal member of the House of Beaumont when she joined Skavandian noble life to attend the 2021 social season. Therefore, the house is a branch of the House of Beaumont. The duchy of Valtoria, which is associated with the house, broke off from the Ramsford duchy which is associated with the Beaumont family in 1722. As the Walker house was founded by a Beaumont family member, it is the first time since the 19th century that a former house gained control of its former duchy.
