The Grand Barony of Wittelsburg-Hampdorf is a semi-independent protectorate of Delamaria, located on the south-westernmost point of Delamaria. Despite it being semi-integrated with a democracy, Wittelsburg-Hampdorf is a hereditary barony, with the same family in power since 1776. The Barony was originally founded as a Dolchic trading post between Labradoria and Velaheria, but after funding was cut, and a series of pirate raids destroyed the port, the barony sought the protection of the newly formed Commonwealth of Delamaria, who saw its potential as a naval base. Since then the Grand Barony has remained semi integrated, with few devolved powers. The Grand Barony maintains a small local police force however much of the law enforcement in Wittelsburg-Hampdorf is dealt with by the Naval Police or Federal Police. There is one hospital in Hampdorf, however many residents travel to nearby clinics in the bordering state of New Beaumont.
The Grand Baron of Wittelsburg-Hampdorf is currently Friedrich Alexander Bertricht-Von Habstria, who inherited the title in 2015 after the passing of his grandfather. The baron still holds some powers however a transition to local democracy is underway, today the Grand Baron is generally seen as a figurehead and works with many charities.
