Ascensio S.A. is a Latin conglomerate specializing in internet-related services and products, including search engine, advertising, cloud technologies, software and hardware. It is headquartered in Colonia Agrippa, Latium. Ascensio was founded in 1997 by Theodorus Papirius, Peter Varelas, Preden Abgrallus, and Michael Pompeius while they were students at Transtiberim College, Haenna. Of the founders, only Pompeius has left the company, while together the remaining own approximately 21% of the company, and a 55% controlling stake through supervoting stock. Papirius remains the largest shareholder, alone controlling 30% of the company. Initially incorporated as a private enterprise, Ascensio CSP went public in 2010 and reorganized as Ascensio S.A. Founded in Haenna, Latium, the company moved to its current headquarters-campus in Colonia Agrippa, outside of Adrianople.

The company's rapid growth has resulted in a variety of products under the Ascensio brand and the purchase of other brands beyond the original search engine created by the company. Along with the search engine, Ascensio offers web-based productivity programs, email, calendars, cloud-based products, social media, messaging, maps, video sharing among others. In 2012, it developed Universalis, an internet browser with built in Ascensio features. Working with phone developers, Ascensio is also active in developing mobile-based operating systems. The company has expanded into other areas since its public offering, including a CapitisA (venture capital fund), Omega (a secret research and development facility), and PapiriaSys.
