The Royal Mutulese Marine Corps is the main offensive expeditionary land force of the Mutulese military, of which it is a main service arm alongside the Mutulese Army, Royal Mutulese Navy and Mutulese Air Force.
Organisation and mission
The RMMC is the main offensive expeditionary ground force of the Mutulese military. Unlike the Mutulese Army, whose main task is territorial defence, the RMMC is oriented towards contesting the control over the northern seas in conjunction with the RMN. It is a well-trained and highly-professional force which attracts some of the best recruits into Mutul's military.
The main force of the RMMC is organised into six brigades, grouped into two divisions of three each. Each brigade consists, aside from the brigade headquarters, a light tank battalion, a mechanised infantry battalion , two light infantry battalions, an artillery battalion equipped with eighteen 155mm howitzers in three batteries, and a brigade troops battalion comprised of reconnaissance, engineering, air defence, medical, signal, electronic warfare, logistics and maintenance companies. The mechanised infantry and light tank battalions are equipped with variants of the Jhengtsang Type 05 amphibious fighting vehicle.
In addition to these forces, the RMMC also possesses an aviation group controlling its complement of helicopters, a rocket artillery brigade, an air defence command armed with area-defence surface-to-air missiles, and nine detached battalions which are intended to defend the outlying islands off the coast of Mutul.
