Kertosono as a federal monarchy possesses rich and varied titles and styles to address members of the nobility. Traditionally, individual kingdoms of Kertosono granted several types of titles, though since the creation of the state of Kertosono in 1901, the federal government became a legal entity in giving out official titles and styles, mostly regarding styles and titles concerning official government posts and jobs. Titles are officially and legally part of a person's name, and a title change due to a variety of circumstances warrant a change in registration with the national population database.

There are currently five major types of titles which could be found throughout Kertosono, though their use varies according to location and occasion. Titles which are obtained from familial relationships are called sesebatan trah, and are the most abundant form of titles for Kertic nobility. Sesebatan karya refers to titles which are bestowed upon select government officials and workers. Sesebatan kinurmatan usually refers to titles which are granted by the monarch or any other legal entity because of one's contributions or achievements. Sesebatan pangeran are titles granted to members of the royal family which fulfill specific roles. Such titles override all other titles. Sesebatan kuasa refers to titles of peerage within Kertosono.
