Llwynberwyn, officially the Kingdom of Llwynberwyn, is a sovereign island-kingdom located within the Süd Depths. The kingdom consists of one large island and a number of smaller uninhabited islands. The island has been inhabited for at least 8,500 years, originally occupied by Mesolithic and Neolithic tribes. It is speculated that Llwynberwyn is the site of the first settlers in the known regions of the Süd Depths. Arable land and abundance of seafood led to the early settlers to live a comfortable life on the island. The climate is relatively mild and the soils are extremely fertile; most of the land is farmed, and agriculture is the most important sector of the economy. The kingdom still maintains a system of manorialism. Llwynberwynic manorialism is based on making the kingdom self-sufficient. The land is divided between the various Lords and Barons, the lords give permission to the peasantry to come and live in a plot of land and to farm or to conduct whatever industry that they follow. As a result of living on the land that belongs to the lord, the peasantry serve the lord by providing him with products, paying taxes and serving in the levy. The local people are known as Llwynberwyners; they speak a language that has evolved for hundreds of years from any outside influence which has led to modern Llwynberwynic.
