The Valkenic peoples or Valks are an ethnolignuistic group of Northern Lorecian origin in Astyria who speak Valkenic languages. They are geographically distributed throughout Northern Lorecia, mainly in Western Vinstria. The Valkenic peoples can be divided into two subgroups: the Northern Valks, which include the Valkeans (Valki), Velgi, Ostli, and Ostrothians, and the Western Valks, which include the Valkenic peoples of Western Tundra and Aurora Confederacy.
The history of the Valkenic peoples began with the <name> Culture in what is now Western Tundra, from which the first Proto-Valkenic languages were first spoken. By the 8th century BC, many of these groups began to migrate westwards into what is now the Aurora Confederacy, while others migrated northward to Vinstria. Over the centuries, some of the Valkenic peoples converted to Christianity, forming the basis of modern Valkenic nations.
