Fite (Chinese: ???) is an Amenrian mobile application which mainly helps its users (dubbed Fiters) find opponents to spar against. Users swipe right to like or swipe left to dislike another Fiter's profile, which includes name, age, gender, species, and martial arts or colour, where applicable. To start a fight, both Fiters must like each other's profile and agree to the terms of engagement proposed by the initiator. Negotiations on said terms can be discussed via private messages.

Fite was developed by local Changchun superhero Gentleman in March 2045 and launched in July of the same year.

    History

    Operation

The user builds a profile with a phone number. Then (s)he can set filters for potential matches, which can be based on distance, gender, species, or anything else on a Fiter's profile. Chatting is only available to Fiters who have swiped right on each other's profiles. The app provides a verification service to any public figures who decide to use it so others could verify the profile belongs to them. So far, the only country served by Fite is Amenria, with Ascionese support being planned. Fite is available in English in addition to the Amenria's national languages.

    Features

    • Swipe is the main feature of the app.
    • Open Lobby, when activated, the Fiter gives consent for other Fiters to "jump in" into any Fites (s)he is currently engaging in.
    • Fight Radar searches for fights happening in the vicinity of the user for the purposes of spectating, or, if the Fiters have Open Lobby allowed, participating as a surprise combatant.

    In Realms of the Multiverse

The app appears in-game for all protagonists after a certain point, after which they can use it to fight (mini)bosses for money, items, and/or equipment. The availability of the opponents vary by protagonist, location, and date. The player can earn points based on the damage dealt with every attack, which affects the final reward for that battle. Individual battles have different rules which restricts the player on the actions (s)he can take during said battles, the party members allowed, if any, and any multipliers for using techniques of a certain criteria (such as double points for Red logo transparent.png Red techniques). Battles are repeatable until their period of availability is over.

The game adds a feature to the app called Assist, where the player can have a character outside the party and (usually) unavailable for the campaign enter the battlefield and perform a technique (more often than not, their Signature) for a fee.

    In Realms Battle Arena

Free Battles are organized via the Fite app in-universe, explaining the diversity of playable characters.

    Creation and Conception

Fite was inspired by the Rumblr meme and the Poundmates feature from Yakuza: Like a Dragon.
