The Ministry of State Security is one of the primary organs of the Posadastani state apparatus. In 1986, 11 years after being founded, it was merged directly with the Posadist Revolutionary Union (PRU)'s Council for Disciplinary Inspection and the Red Liberation Army's information and intelligence wing. They have since been granted some autonomy since 2010, but the entire ministry still coordinates heavily with the military and the party.
