The Posadist Revolutionary Union is the ruling party of Posadastan. It was founded in 1962 as a caucus within the then-ruling Revolutionary Worker's Party, but the caucus was expelled in 1967 forcing them to create their own party, which they named after the group of anonymous writers calling themselves "J. Posadas," who discussed many fringe ideas, but later went on to rule the country from 1975 to the present day. Their rule over Posadastan has been incredibly turbulent, but has seen an overall general progression in the well-being of the population. The party's rule has been described by some as "totalitarian" and "Orwellian," but the lack of criticism permitted inside the country, as well as its heavily funded propaganda and media wings makes it hard to find any general or widespread criticism within the nation.

Policies

The PRU, in addition to its more traditional authoritarian and communist principles, also believes in the following ideological tenets. However, after the Hao military dictatorship (1986-2008) and its moderate reforms, and the subsequent peaceful successions of power between Posadastan's following leaders, most of these are preserved in name only and are not "actively pursued" for the sake of "practicality and economy." The Posadist ideology does still play an important role in niche circles around Telrova, especially in countries like the Scorpian Federation.

Most of these beliefs only developed among niche corners of the already niche Posadist movement itself in the late 60s and early 70s but have support from various sects within.

Do note that some of these policies are unofficial and/or not actively pursued by the Posadi government:

Permanent Revolution

The idea that the revolution is a constant, global event, one that must be spread and supported everywhere by whatever means necessary. This incurs an official policy of no compromise with all those deemed by the party as bourgeois, revisionists, counter-revolutionaries, or reactionaries unless under extreme circumstances. The PRU also maintains a highly anti-revisionist stance, ousting anyone who is internally critical of its actions. This is commonly interpreted as supporting policies of militarization and has led to vaguely autarkist policies among Posadastan's military industries.

Proletarian Internationalism

This is the belief that it is the responsibility of all communists to, if in the position to do so, bring about communism everywhere. This includes funding, organizing and training other communist groups abroad and actively aiding the struggles of all foreign communist, anti-fascist, anti-imperialist and self-determinationist political and social movements in other nations, whether it be openly or covertly. The PRG, the paramilitary wing of the PRU, has also been accused of covertly, and at times openly arming and training foreign paramilitaries and terrorists, with Posadastan itself offering amnesty to foreign leftist terrorists from states like Pervincia.

This also emphasizes that the socialist revolution must not be limited to any one nation but should be a singular global revolution. In other words, the success of socialism in one country depends on the success of socialist revolutions elsewhere.

Anti-Bureaucracy

Many Posadists preach opposition to bureaucratic systems of control and advocate that some control to handed over to communities in the form of local participatory democracies as a means to dilute power away from the ruling party to prevent any form of convoluted and elitist bureaucracy. This tenet still remains an official part of the party's platform but is considered by many to be dead.

Atomic War

The notion of "Atomic War," or "Nuclear First Strike," is one of the central and most unique tenets of Posadism. It is the notion of the necessity for a preemptive nuclear strike on all capitalist nations as a means to end capitalism "immediately" and ignite a global communist revolution, and to then bring the world under a single communist state. They also believe the should work together with all nuclear-armed communist nations, regardless of their smaller ideological quarrels, to carry out this task. This can be found in the later writings of J. Posadas, where they say such things as "Atomic war is inevitable. It will destroy half of humanity: it is going to destroy immense human riches. It is very possible. The atomic war is going to provoke a true inferno on Earth. But it will not impede Communism." and "Destruction has always come before creation."

Earlier writings, included in the official party tract, inlcude quotes like: "We are preparing ourselves for a stage in which before the atomic war, we shall struggle for power, during the atomic war we shall struggle for power and we shall be in power, and immediately after the atomic war we shall be in power. There is no beginning, there is an end to atomic war, because atomic war is simultaneous. Simultaneity doesn't mean the same day and the same hour. Great historic events should not be measured by hours or days, but by periods. The working class alone will maintain itself, will immediately have to seek its cohesion and centralization." "After destruction commences, the masses are going to emerge in all countries – in a short time, in a few hours. Capitalism cannot defend itself in an atomic war except by putting itself in caves and attempting to destroy all that it can. The masses, in contrast, are going to come out, will have to come out, because it is the only way to survive, defeating the enemy… The apparatus of capitalism, police, army, will not be able to resist… It will be necessary to organise the workers' power immediately."

It is believed that this doctrine is the driving factor of Posadastan's nuclear program, though some believe the program to be more of an act of national self-preservation instead.

Cetacean Liberation

Certain posadist sects beleive that humans and cetacean species (namely dolphins) will one day be able to communicate and work side-by-side. They believe in freeing all cetaceans held captive and in working with them and training them to actively work with humans. This was largely influenced by the fact that one early posadist writer was a dolphin trainer and marine biologist, but the idea is considered second-rate by the party and has been largely disavowed. In spite of this, the idea has led to the creation of a marine mammal program in the RLA Navy.

Some more modern Posadists abroad interpret the belief as being compatible with broader animal liberation and vegetarianism/veganism as applied political doctrines.

Apocalypse Communism

Following the concept of "Atomic war," the party has a focus on rebuilding the world in a communist manner whilst situated in a post-capitalist and post-apocalyptic world order, establishing a fundamentally communist society. They believe a fully communist Telrova is only possible through an apocalyptic means of ending capitalism.

Scientific Progressivism

Perhaps one of the more light-hearted principles of Posadism, they believe Capitalism has effectively oppressed/utilized science for the means of killing people and furthering its [capital's] own ends. Posadists seek to liberate science from its capitalistic oppression, and use it to achieve a Utopian socialist future under the guidance of science, to the benefit of all people. This includes actively looking into space exploration and transhumanist policies, as well as the idea of cybernetics.

"Cosmic Communism"

Sometimes just called "Cosmism" of "Ufology," this is the Posadist belief that Communism is the ideology of the cosmos. They believe that for advanced alien civilizations to have achieved interstellar travel, they must have united globally under an idoelogy akin to communism in order to combine their scientific efforts towards a united end, and they would have transcended any need for war and conflict. So, whenever the full communist liberation of Telrova occurs, Posadists believe that Alien civilizations will see this and finally decide to reach out to humans and help them achieve vast scientific achievements. Or, as written before, "Dialectic concepts can permit the existence of UFOs and other life-forms... Even if these reports of flying saucers are fantasies, as is possible that the majority may be, many of them, their historical basis is correct… the scientific capacity of human beings is determined by their social organisation..."

Cybernetics

Alongside the focus on scientific progress, Posadists believe in striving for a fully automated and computerized economy. While certain logistical problems are posed by this, as well as some political resistance from rural party representatives, small parts of the economy and infrastructure (such as most urban public transport) have already been fully or partly automated.
