Public Security Agency (PSA), legally incorporated as the Public Security and Emergency Preparedness Agency is the department of the Government of Gristol-Serkonos. Its stated missions involve anti-terrorism, border security, immigration and customs, and disaster prevention and management.
Ministerial Institutions
- Office of Public Security: The Office of Public Security is Gristol-Serkonos' domestic counter-intelligence and security agency. It is part of the greater Gristo-Serkonan intelligence community alongside the Directorate of State Security, the Communications Security Establishment, and the RGSAF Defence Intelligence Bureau. OPS is directed by the Office of the Intelligence Commissioner, and the service is under oversight by three Parliament Intelligence Standing Committees. The service is directed to protect Gristo-Serkonan parliamentary democracy and economic interests, and counter terrorism and espionage within the country.
- Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency: The FEPA is an agency that coordinates the response to a disaster that has occurred in Gristol-Serkonos and that overwhelms the resources of local authorities.
- Federal Border Guards of Gristol-Serkonos: The Federal Border Guards of Gristol-Serkonos is federal law enforcement agency that is responsible for border control (i.e. protection and surveillance), immigration enforcement, and customs services.

- Royal Gendarmerie: The Royal Gendarmerie of Gristol-Serkonos is the national police force of Gristol-Serkonos. It is a branch of the Royal Gristo-Serkonan Armed Forces under the jurisdiction of the Public Security and Emergency Preparedness Agency with additional responsibilities from the National Office of Defence. The Gendarmerie has several areas of responsibility such as policing cities, small towns, rural areas, it also fulfills a range of military and defense missions as well as policing the military bases of the RGSAF due to its military status.
- Gristo-Serkonan Coast Guard: The Gristol-Serkonan Coast Guard is tasked with marine search and rescue, communications, navigation, and transportation issues in Gristo-Serkonan waters, such as navigation aids and icebreaking, marine pollution response. The GSCG also assists in scientific research expeditions in the areas of oceanography and fisheries science. The GSCG is similar to the traditional armed coast guards fielded by other nations. The coast guard operates 120 vessels, 22 rotary-wing aircraft and 8 fixed-wing aircraft.
- Civil Defence Services of Gristol-Serkonos: Civil Defence Services of Gristol-Serkonos is an emergency response and rescue agency whose purpose is to provide aid, assistance and relief in times of emergency or natural disaster. It may also support primary emergency response agencies namely the Royal Gendarmerie, National Ambulance Service, and local authority fire services when requested.
- Office of Citizenship and Immigration Service: OCIS operates the National Visa System, managing applications from foreign nationals seeking to visit or work in Gristol-Serkonos, and also considers applications from businesses and educational institutions seeking to become sponsors for foreign nationals. It also considers applications from foreign nationals seeking protection or Gristo-Serkonan citizenship and manages appeals of those who have been denied visas.
