The Office for Hverfolk and Indigenous Interests (Hverlandic: Hverfólks ok Innfæddra Hugaðar Skrifstofa; HIHS, Brenna: Varmkildejordfolket og Urfolk Interesser Konto, Gealdor: Geađgeguolleolbmuid ja Dálásis Interessekero, Vanakeldu: Heiturbrunnarfólks ok Innfæddra Áhuga Skrifstofa, Ægisjallr: Heitikelduland Fólks ok Innfødd Interessestovan) is a government agency in Hverland responsible for liaising with Hverfolk tribal communities, and facilitating various aspects of their governance and wellbeing. The HIHS's mandate is vast, encompassing areas like law enforcement and justice, economic development, agricultural advancement, infrastructural improvements, natural resource management, and enhancement of tribal governance, with the ultimate goal of advancing the quality of life in Hverfolk tribal communities. The HIHS was established in 1951, as part of the Hverland government's initiative to better address the needs and concerns of the Hverfolk tribal communities. Since its inception, the HIHS has played a crucial role in building bridges between the government and the tribal communities, fostering a spirit of cooperation and mutual respect. It spearheaded the establishment of the Sámedagi in 1966, giving the Hverfolk significant cultural autonomy.
