Sylvain Buzitu (born December 25th, 1957) is an Apatonian diplomat and politician who since 2022 has served as the Ambassador to the CCA under President James Etémé. He previously served as the Foreign Minister of Apatonia from 2018 to 2022 under President Mlamuli Ngotsha. Buzitu began his political career in parliament representing his local district in Sifondo, Hubta 14 from 2009 until 2018. During the 2022 escalation of the Biulundo conflict and the rebellion of Michel Lukonde, Buzito stayed in Apatonia when most of the Ngotsha government fled, deciding to stay in Wabi to help coordinate counter-rebellion efforts. He was instrumental in garnering support from Unified Sera ahead of their military involvement in the conflict. Buzitu ran against incumbent Secretary-General Katherine von Wettin to deny her a second term at the end of 2023.
