Sylvain Buzitu (born December 25th, 1957) is an Apatonian diplomat and politician who is the Secretary-General of the C.C.A.-elect, being elected to succeed Katherine von Wettin in 2024. Prior to becoming Secretary-General, Buzitu served as the Ambassador to the CCA under President James Etémé from 2022-24. He previously served as the Foreign Minister of Apatonia from 2018 to 2022 under President Mlamuli Ngotsha. Buzitu began his political career in parliament representing his local district in Sifondo, Hubta 14 from 2009 until 2018. During the 2022 escalation of the Biulundo conflict and the rebellion of Michel Lukonde, Buzito stayed in Apatonia when most of the Ngotsha government fled, deciding to stay in Wabi to help coordinate counter-rebellion efforts. He was instrumental in garnering support from Unified Sera ahead of their military involvement in the conflict.
