Sainte-Marie is the second largest city in Cassier with a population of 4,991,732. It is the prefecture of the department of Île Sainte-Marie, and the most populous city the province of Monbec. The urban centre of the city is located on the Island of Sainte-Marie (Gaullican Île de Sainte-Marie), on the Saint-Marcus River.
