The flag of Barcia consists of a horizontal tricolour of green, white and burgundy. The flag Barcia is used as the country's national flag as well as a civil ensign for use by civilian maritime vessels. A variant of the flag of Barcia defaced by the lesser coat of arms is used as a state ensign. The current flag of Barcia was introduced in 1746 during the reign of King Emmanuel II who oversaw a number of political reforms aimed at modernising the Barcian Kingdom into a modern, bureaucratic state.

Owing to the usage of burgundy in the Barcian flag, requiring expensive purple dye, many of the first Barcian flags created during the Eighteenth and Nineteenth centuries used a tricolour of green, white and red. This nonstandard design, largely used a civilian flags could be distinguished from official standards utilised by the monarchy and government which included the burgundy colour.
