Ostroci (Szača: Ostročiú), officially the Federal Republic of Ostroci (FRO) (Szača: Rzpbilca Fedraca Ostročiú (RFO), is a large socialist state in Esermia, founded in the aftermath of the Olgoran Uprising, and ensuing Tlusevian Civil War of 1921-22. Officially, Ostroci is a federal republic comprised of numerous sub-republics known as Sovereign Social Councils (SSC) (Szača: Vuloyiu Szeču Sočialu (VSS), which are led by the Federal Congress (Szača: Ustřelí Fedrača) located in the capital of Strazhimr.

Ostroci has a population of 163 million inhabitants and is the second largest nation in Esermia, sharing borders with Vadenia, Mossia, East Colcha, Bronheim, Vrenland, Skonia, Vlazenice, Petschek, and Rodvia. Ostroci plays a decisive role in the geopolitics of Esermia and the world as the head of the United Socialist Coalition (UNISOC) which spans much of the continent and represents the Socialist Bloc.
