The Pondscum Chronicles is a series of point-and-click graphic adventure games developed by Weissmarker video game developer Studio St. Lukas. The games follow the story of the crew of the eponymous submarine, the Pondscum, a trolley bus equipped with a rudder, a snorkel, a single torpedo tube, and a "dual-purpose aquatic paintball gun." The main protagonist of the series is Captain Lieutenant Gustav Gestrüpp, the luckless captain of the Pondscum whose own incompetence and delusions of grandeur are usually the cause of the games' conflict.

The first two games were made by Erwin Metzger and Siegfried Krause, both of whom had previously served in the Weissmarker Navy, as a means to draw to attention to the rampant incompetence and underfunding that plagued the Weissmarker Navy.
