This is a list of political parties in Tarper.
The Parliament of the Federal Republic of Tarper, the Federal Council, and the Federal Assembly, has a plural multi-party system, with two major parties, the Socialist Party of Tarper (SP) and the Christian Democratic and Social Federation (CDSF).
Tarper also has a number of minor parties, in recent history most importantly the Communist Party (CPT), Green Liberation (GLU/ULV), Liberals (NLP), and more recently the Conservatives (CNP), founded in 2007. The federal government of Tarper consists of a coalition of a major and a minor party, specifically SP and GLU, SP and CPT or SP and CDSF (Grand Coalition). Since 2017, the federal government consists of a coalition of three parties.
Coalitions in the Bundestag and state legislatures are often described by party colors. Party colors are red for the Socialiss, cyan for the Greens, maroon for the Communiss, blue for the Christian Democrats, buff for the Liberals, and dark blue for the Conservatives.

Created in response to the Second World War. The assembly sought to increase national unity and government efficiency by consolidating all power toward the Chancellor and the Communist Party. Sometimes referred to as the "Zoe Coalition", due to the fact that the assembly was in session for the duration of Chancellor Zoe Herzog's term. Second main parliamentary coalition after the War & Reconstruction Assembly. Infamous for awarding Tom Starpin with the title of "Supreme Chancellor" and suspending term limits, allowing Starpin to act as the dictator of the confederation.
