The Glasic army is the primary land warfare component of the Glasic Defence Force. As of 2019 the Glasic Army comprises of just over 297,300 regular (full-time) personnel and just under 392,700 reserve (part-time) personnel.

The Glasic Army can trace its roots back to 1490 and the beginning of the Glaso-Tyrannic War. The first recorded use of the term Glasic Army was 1509 upon the final unification of the two separate kingdoms of Tír Glas. Since 1950 and the re-introduction of the monarchy all members of the Glasic Army are expected to swear (and re-affirm) their allegiance to the Crown as their high commander as such legislation was passed so that with the start of each successive government permission must be granted by Parliament to maintain a standing army during peacetime. The Crown although high commander of the army delegates the administration of the army to their senior aide-de-camp the Chief of Staff.

The Glasic Army has seen action in major wars between the world's great powers, including the Glaso-Tyrannic War, the Helian War and the First and Second Vinyan Wars. Since the end of the Helian War the Glasic Army has been routinely and semi-permanently deployed to Continental Vinya as an expeditionary contingency against the belligerents actions of Fyrland Kolodoria, and Vyzhva and as a policing / peacekeeping force.
