The Lecistan Social Democrats (Lec: Spòłeczowczi Demòkratów Lekkëbi, SDL) is a social democratic political party in Lecistan, created on 2 September 2015. It was formed by former members and socially liberal activists of the Moderate Front. It has advocated growing Lecistani economy and slashing poverty rates by investing in the public sector as well as supporting businesses. On 22 September 2015, the Society of Socialists merged into the Social Democrats, granting the party nine seats in the Royal Chamber prior to the October elections.

Platform

Domestic

LSD advocates Third Way economics. Its' main aim is supporting Lecistani economy through structural reforms of the public and private sectors to make the job market more flexible while protecting workers' rights. It supports universal suffrage and is socially liberal on issues such as women's rights.

Foreign

LSD is an internationalist party; it advocates Lecistan's admission into various Esquarian trade organisations to help grow the fragile economy of the nation. The party supports self-determination and thinks that Lecistan should be given full sovereignty while having the Grand Duke as a ceremonial head of state. It thinks that the country needs to open up to its neighbours to enable trade and cooperation between countries in the region. It advocates peaceful negotiations with Odissia regarding the status of Lecistani people in the nation as well as more cooperation in trade.
