The Martellagese Armed Forces (MAF) (Martellagese: Forte armate Martellagesque) are the official military forces of the Most Serene Republic. The MAF promotes Martellago's wider interests, supports international peacekeeping efforts and provides humanitarian aid. There are three official branches (Army, Navy, Air Force) and four branches which operate under independent departments (Coast Guard, National Guard, Cyber Defense Force, and various Special Operations Forces). These uniformed branches comprise a total of 346,800 men and women, of which # are in the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The High Council of Defense, headed by the President of the Federal Council, determines policies and makes the key decisions on the use of the armed forces. During peacetime, the military is led by the Chief of the Armed Forces; in times of crisis or war, the Collegia elects a full General as Commander-in-Chief. According to the Constitution, the Collegia has the sole authority to declare a state of war.
