Kapuku (Kapukan: Kapukū), officially the Kingdom of Kapuku (Kapukan: Ke Aupuni Kapukū), is an archipelagic kingdom resting in the in the Continent of Igbo. The country has no land borders with any other nation and is made up of 4 major islands.
The name "Kapuku" is derived from two words, "Kapu" and "Kū". Kapu is an ancient set of traditions and guidelines used by the people of Kapuku for hundreds of years. "Kū" means war, giving a name that means something similair to "War with rules" which gives insight into the foundation and culture of Kapuku. The capital and largest city of Kapuku is Lono which is the tech and trade center of Kapuku. The city is home to 352,000 people from all over the world.
Ancient artifacts show that The Kapuku Archipelego was first settled in 501 MK by peoples traveling on canoes. These people most likely orginated in Tarsis. The first kingdom of Limoni united the islands until it was split by the king's four sons. These four kingdoms went on to fight for hundreds of years in a period of time know as the Warring Period. During this time, many cultural and military advancements were made and Kapuku greatly benefitted. In 169 IK, Meakhani united the islands but they soon were ravaged due to disease brought from Zhenian traders. The islands soon collapsed and became a tributary of the Zhenian empire. During WWII, the islands were fully annexed which started a rebelion in 645 IK. The islands gained independence in 648 IK and had an absolute monarchy installed until 656 IK when a coup overtrough the government and created a constitutional monarchy
Today, the nation is a small developed nation. Kapuku has a Gross Domestic Product of 213 Billion USD and a Gross Domestic Product Per Capita of 41,428 USD. The small island nation is known for its large tech sector making up about 30% of the economy and its rich culture and religion. Many people know the islands as a popular tourist destination with a beutiful and stunning untouched landscape.
