The Florencian Fundamentalist Faith, often informally referred to as the "Fundies" or the FFF Faith, is a non ecumenical, Vayonist restorationist church that considers itself to be the reinstated pure version of the movement started by Narsa the Catechist. The religion is headquartered in Alas City of the Republic of Bithynia, Florencia. The Florencian Fundamentalist Faith is largely based within Bithynia where the majority of it's declared 3.2 million adherents reside, though it does have meager congregations in neighboring republics. It is the largest denomination of the fundamentalist faith movement founded in the Velorensian Empire by the Prophet Daeron Tortellus during the late 19th Century period of spiritual advancement known as the Grand Revival.

History

Beginnings

The FFF Faith, originally founded as the True Faith of the One, was effectively organized on the 1st of January, 1860 by Daeron Tortellos in what was then the Western Athicar Goveronate, now the FR of Athicar. Tortellos had claimed to have received a divine experience with the The One directly, which is considered heretical to most all Vayonist denominations. Initial converts were drawn to the Tortellos's self published book, Truth and Revelations, which is a chronicle of the illuminated real truth delivered to him by The One. Truth and Revelations details the existence of angels which emanated from The One and began to inhabit modern day Florencia approximately one hundred thousand years ago. At some point in time these angels fall out of faith with The One, and an apocalyptic event would destroy their divinely presence. Fundamentalist Florencians therefor believe that certain modern indigenous tribes are the ancestors of these angels.

Migration to the Alas River

After gathering a respective congregation in Western Athicar, Imperial authorities would grow quite alarmed with the Fundamentalist Faith. The Velorensian Empire tolerated Zhenian Wuism in it's western territories and permitted some "civilized" indigenous tribes to practice their own religions, but the Fundamentalists were considered heretical to Vayonist tradition. A state orchestrated pogrom would force Daeron Tortellos and his followers to migrate further East. Ultimately settling in the present day Social Republic of Bithynia, along the Alas River.

It'd be during this time of state oppression and uprootment that Daeron Tortellos claimed to have another sacred experience with The One. Though the divine ancestry of the indigenous tribes had been lost after their betrayal to The One thousands of years ago, the mixing of the pinnacle blood of the Elyrians could unlock the angelic presence of the indigenous peoples. This teaching would draw quite a few mixite converts who had often faced social discrimination by both indigenous peoples and imperial authorities. It'd be through this revelation that the Fundamentalist Faith openly supported miscegenation among it's adherents.

Because of the perceived heresy of Fundamentalists and their practice of miscegenation, continued discrimination and the occasional pogram would erode their social mobility. Like most persons of mixed blood ancestry or non Vayonist Heterodoxy adherence in the undeveloped interior of the Velorensian Empire, they'd be relegated to near serfdom. Barely permitted by imperial authorities to continue their worship along the Alas River.

Modern Era

Fundamentalist followers would be among the most staunch supporters of the Great Revolution that overthrew the imperial regime and instituted the Florencian Union. Adherents were drawn to the promises of religious equality and free expression promised by revolutionary forces. In addition to the abolition of serfdom that was de-facto supported by the imperial state. Following the establishment of the new social republican government, adherents were once again allowed to practice openly and even begin to proselytize.

During the First Cultural Revolution of the 1930's and the Union's sanctioned promotion of miscegenation among all races and ethnicity, several Fundamentalist leaders and elders would proclaim that they had experienced another divine session with The One. The faith's elders had claimed it had been revealed to them that "given the unique, free, and liberty loving tendencies of all Florencian people", the divine fluids of the angels therefor courses in the veins of any patriotic and upstanding citizen of the Union. This expanded the faith's definition of what persons had pinnacle fluids, and were thus able to communicate directly with The One from those of certain mixed race ancestry, to the whole of the Florencian Republicans.

This new proclamation with nationalist overtones from the faith's elders would however cause a schism within the religion, with a small minority leaving to form the Real Fundamentalist Faith.

The 1970's and the ongoing Second Cultural Revolution, elders of the church and the elected President-Oracle, whom is the central authority figure for the Fundamentalist Faith, would once again proclaim a new visitation with The One. Influenced by the Union's decriminalization of certain hallucinogenic drugs as apart of the cultural revolution, President-Oracle Patnos Kim declared that persons of pinnacle fluid could achieve a near divine experience with The One through the use of LSD. Albeit as long as they were a firm believer in the revealed truth of Daeron Tortellus.

It'd be through these hallucinogenic sessions President-Oracle Kim claimed The One had firmly revealed to him the existence of "other races of pinnacle fluidation dotting the cosmos". Kim also claimed that these other worldly races had at times in the past, visited the world and continue to do so in secret. Firstly a supporter of miscegenation, then Florencian nationalism, the Fundamentalist Faith now officially recognized the existence of extraterrestrials.

Teachings and Practice

The Florencian Fundamentalist Faith believes that it is a the truest established faith of Vayonism. Rather then in traditional Vayonist practice were the sixteen gods and goddesses are worshiped as emanations of The One, and not The One directly, Fundamentalists believe that persons of pinnacle fluidation may worship The One directly. Pinnacle fluids as described by the faith is the divine blood of angels that emanated directly from The One and is now present in most Florencians. Though only adherents of the FFF have truly untapped the potential of their divine blood to communicate directly with The One.

Since the 1970's the Faith has advocated the usage of certain safe hallucinogenics to help achieve a divine experience with The One. Most often this is either LSD or marijuana. Faith elders do stress responsible usage of these mind-altering drugs though. Typically most followers abstain from alcohol as they believe that it muddles their pinnacle fluids.

Due to a long history of oppression and discrimination by the Velorensian Empire, not to mention distrust by most traditional Vayonists, the Fundamentalists often take part in a great deal of charity work to improve and spread their image. FFF congregations often partner with State Department for the Commonwealth in locating jobs and establishing shelters for Florencia's meager homeless population. They have also established well regarded suicide hotlines, care for spouses fleeing dangerous relationships, and a support structure for those dealing with harmful substance and alcohol abuse. Fundmentalist donations or congregations make possible or operate most republican sponsored recreational centers in the Bithynian Republic.
