The Authority for the Protection of the Republic (Amathian: Ⰰⱆⱅⱁⱃⰹⱅⰰⱅⰵⰰ ⱂⰵⱀⱅⱃⱆ Ⱂⱃⱁⱅⰵⰽⱌⰹⰰ Ⱃⰵⱂⱆⰱⰾⰹⰽⰹⰹ tr, Autoritatea pentru Protecția Republicii), known simply as the Authority (Ⰰⱆⱅⱁⱃⰹⱅⰰⱅⰵⰰ, Autoritatea), was the secret police agency of the Amathian Equalist Republic. It was founded on the 12th of April 1944 with a reorganization of the Central Political Protection Authority, the dreaded Equalist paramilitary police force of the Amathian Civil War. It was, in proportion to the Amathian population, one of the largest secret police forces, and it gained the reputation of one of the most brutal and repressive secret police organizations in the world, being famous for its role in the suppression of the 1948 Uprising and the Thistle Uprising.
