Plot

Captain <name> of the S-???, a [[ ]] submarine of the Anikatian People's Navy and his senior officers deviate from their assigned patrol route with the intention of delivering the vessel and several nuclear torpedoes to arms dealers in Ashizwe. Tensions within the region are already high due to a brewing conflict between <x> and <y>, with the worlds military powers moving to support their various allies.

S-124's captain decides to make a run through the Ashizwen Straits to their destination in Terinyi, using their status as an Anikatian vessels to easily bypass the Goredemabwan and Husseinartian Navies. However, intelligence uncovered by [[]] leads to discovery of the plot and two Goredemabwan Tarango-class vessels are sent out to hunt the rouge vessel. In an altercation in the <name> Sea, one of the two Goredemabwan vessels is attacked and destroyed by the rouge submarine south of Lion's Rock. The battle forces the rouge sub to abandon the run through the Strait and to, instead, take the longer path around <that island west of Ashizwe>.

Following the sinking of the two Goredemabwan vessels, Captain Chung Yong-gi, of the Anikatian People's Navy's S-124, a Songoryu-class submarine, is dispatched fro <base> and tasked to locate and track the rouge vessel, providing its position to an anti-submarine task force that is en route, and to destroy the submarine if the opportunity presents itself.

A Commonwealth Navy Triumphant-class submarine under the command of Captain Aaron Taylor had been tracking the two Goredemabwan vessels and overheard the battle between them and S-124. Utilizing sound profiles of the vessels, Captain Taylor extrapolates that the battle occurred between two Otterup Pact vessels, and chooses to pursue S-124.

Cast

Production

Much of the film was shot in the South A'kytian Sea, within easy reach of the Anikatian coast, despite most of the plots action being set in the Central Ocean and North East Sea.

Movie crews were able to photograph many of the interior portions of the Anikatian Songoryu-class submarine submarine S-86, which was made available by the Anikatian Navy. Originally, director <> wanted to film the movie aboard S-86, but the tight quarters of the vessel hindered the film crews ability to set up cameras for proper shots. In addition, objects from the Anikatian Navy regarding the possible release of classified material during filming ended the plan.

The active Triumphant-class submarine HHS Tigress was used for external shots depicting the fictional HHS Turbulent, while internal scenes were filmed on the CIC of the decommissioned Reprisal-class submarine HHS Revenge, currently a museum ship docked at Loweport.
