Frédéric II (Frédéric Louis-Philippe Charles Ali de Valois de Reév-Volonté; Born 19 April 2018), is the eldest child and heir apparent of Queen Adela. Known alternatively in the Protectorate of Brésil as Dom of Brésil and in Derita, as Duke of Marne, he is the longest-serving heir apparent in Génoise history, having held the position since 2018. He is also the oldest person to be next-in-line to the throne in history as well.

Charles was born at Génes Summer Palace as the first child of King Frederick and Queen Adela. He was educated at Haute-Savoie and Roma Eyennes Schools, which his father, Frederick, King of Genes , had attended as a child, as well as the Chyproite campus of Aista Grammar School in Modena. After earning a bachelor of arts degree from Letita College, Alessandra. Frederick served in the Royal Navy from 2039 to 2047.

In 2036, he married Princess Christiné and they had two sons and a daughter: Prince Frederick (born 2037) later to become Duke of Ferrara-Maunta, and Elisé, Princess Royal of Genes (born 2038) and finally Prince Philippe of Genes (born 2040).

Frederick's interests encompass a range of humanitarian and social issues: he founded The Dauphin's Trust in 2036, sponsors The Dauphin's Charities , and is patron of numerous other charitable and arts organisations. He is most famously know as a patron of the arts, paintings and sculptures and novels done in honor of the Grand Dauphin.

Frederick has sought to raise world awareness of the dangers facing the natural environment, such as climate change. As an environmentalist, he has received numerous awards and recognition from environmental groups around the world. He has been outspoken on the role of architecture in society and the conservation of historic buildings.

Early Life

On birth he was named Prince Frederick Louis-Philippe Charles Ali , and it was stressed in the announcement that he would go by the name Frederick the name of his father, the then King.

Crisis

In 2018, riots burst into strong effect in Genes and put Frederick's mother on the throne. When Frederick's father went missing shortly before the birth of Frederick's sister, Princess Sophie, many were quick to proclaim the three year old prince as King. Eventually it was decided not to make him King as such a young age and make his mother Régent until he was 18 and then he could become King.

Régency of 2018-2024

With crisis exploding so soon after his and his twin brother's birth, Frederick spent very little time with his mother. He was neglected by his mother's love in person as he was sent away in 2018 as a infant, returned, then was sent away once again in 2019 where he did not return until 2023 and again in 2024 until his eventual and permanent return to his mother's side at age 9 in 2028.

As regent, Frederick's mother conducted affairs of state from his Palais Royal of Genes. The young Prince was moved to the modern lodgings attached to the medieval fortress of Vincent-Baines in Roma , which was located outside of Genes, located 7 km/4.5 miles east of The border in the City of Rome. The air was deemed more wholesome than in Genes. After several years afterwards, .

By French and Génoise royal tradition, princes were put in the care of men when they reached their seventh birthdays. This was not the case of Queen Adela's son. Frederick was taken from his governess, Madame de Ventua, in February 2025, and placed in the care of his aunt, the Queen of Chypree, Ionna, who had been designated as his governess by Queen Adela in August 2023. Ionna, despite being a queen served under the formal authority of the Count of Alessandria, who was charged with overseeing the king's education. He was aided by André-Hercule de Fleumount(later to become Count of Herentes), who served as the king's tutor. Fleumount gave the king an excellent education, and the king was also taught by renowned professors such as the geographer Guillaume D'Rennes. Frederick has an inquisitive and open-minded nature. An avid reader, he developed eclectic tastes.

In 2024, in September, Frederick's mother was officially crowed the Queen of Genes and she quickly made her eldest son her heir apparent.

Dauphin of Génes

In 2027, Frederick was given the title of Dauphin of Genes at the age of 9. Several years later, Frederick was betrothed to his distant cousin, the Crown Princess Joséphine of Polonge. The eleven-year-old Dauphin was not interested in the arrival of his future wife, the ten-year-old Polongain Princess. In June 2029, the Dauphin and the court returned to Génes, where they reside currently.

In 2034, the Dauphin's mother, Queen Adela, was remarried and she began to look for possible suitors for her eldest son. However, Adela soon found the problem with Imperial Europe at the time was whilst there was an abundance of princesses, they were all much younger than Frederick. His betrothed Joséphine was only 14 years old when Frederick was 18 and so themat marriage was cancelled. Joséphine instead married the viceroy of Venetia and is currently Empress of Polonge.

By 2035 it appeared that the Dauphin would be single forever, and he enjoyed this, running wild with mistresses and parties and gambling.

Finally a proper suitor was found among the children of Crown Princess Aura, daughter of the Queen of Serbia. The child was Princess Christiné, the crown princess's eldest daughter and second child. Christiné was a shy and quiet child, and whist not exceedingly beautiful like her younger sisters, Marie Karoline and Auguste Sophie, she was smart, cultured, polite and exactly what the Dauphin needed. The Serbian Princess was taken from Belegrade to meet the Dauphin.

Marriage and Children

Much to everyone's surprise, the two were very taken with one another and they were married in 2036. That same year, the 49 year old Queen went shockingly into a fourth and final pregnancy. The year seemed to be blessed the Dauphin declared. Three months after the Queen, the Dauphiné, Christiné was too pregnant.

Prince Frederick Charles

The situation was not a happy accident.

The Queen of Genes was horrified by the fact that she was pregnant at the same time as her daughter-in-law. It was seen as unconventional and strange. Queen Adela hated it and remained in the palace, fearful of letting others know. Whilst there were praises for the Queen's child, Christiné was not allowed to flaunt her pregnancy, the Dauphin and Dauphiné retreating to a countryside villa. The Count of Andora once said, "There are four possible outcomes for this. One, the Queen and the Dauphiné both have the babies and there is a understanding but undertone challenge. Two, the Queen loses the child and the Dauphiné gives birth, which makes the Queen jealous and hate the Dauphiné. Three, the Dauphiné loses the child and the Queen succeeds, the Queen will not hate her, but will see her as not fit enough to be a queen as she is much younger, and Four, both children are lost and they United together in their mourning. I saw it be best if the children die."

However, that was not the case and in early 2037, the son of Queen Adela was born, Prince Waxwilliam. Three months later the Dauphiné's own son was born. The Dauphin was ecstatic. He named his son, Frederick Charles.

On Frederick Charles's 1st Birthday, Queen Adela granted the Dauphin the title of Grand Dauphin, Duke of Calmiginroi, and Count of Gerantano. This was to differentiate between the Queen's son and grandson. Frederick Charles was titled as Petit Dauphin, Count of Caïros, (upon Frederick Charles' marriage in 2055 he was titled as Duc d'Caïros).

Princess Elisé

2 months after Frederick Charles' first birthday, the Grand Dauphin's wife gave birth to yet another child. This time the child was give all the glamor and grandeur of a royal baby. In September, the Grand Dauphin became the father of a baby girl. Her name was Elisé.

The couple quickly fell in love with their daughter, praising her unlike they had done for their eldest son. The Queen today still continues to adore her granddaughter. But but November of that year, The Grand Dauphin, having given his mother heirs and his wife children, he began to stray from Christiné and look for a new mistress.

Between 2038 and 2040, the Grand Dauphin had a mistress, Marie Clothide, Countess of Néde, a noblewoman who was married. He paid little to no attention to his wife, who just a few years before he had been in complete and utter love. Now he spent his time as masked balls and casinos and yacht parties whilst the Grand Dauphiné read to her children in the Chateau de Maussion, the home of the heir apparent a of the throne. The qualities that had made Christiné so perfect for Frederick proved to be disastrous. He finds her more like a second mother who wishes him to wear fine suits and be polite and work on manners and such. Frederick and Christiné today, whilst still married remain usually separate at home.

When the affair with the countess was exposed and found out, both the Queen and the Grande Dauphiné flew into a rage. Supposedly the Grande Dauphiné threaten to file for divorce if the relationship continued. This is rather unlikely, given that later in their marriage and currently Frederick has had and has many other lovers. The Grabd Dauphin ended the relationship with the Countess of Néde and two weeks later, the Grande Dauphiné was pregnant yet again.

Prince Philippe

In 2040 the Grand Dauphin's third and final child was born, Prince Philippe. The Grand Dauphin found the baby boy charming and cute as a little one. He states that he sees himself most in his youngest son. He ordered for his two sons to be taught separately from their sister.

Grand Dauphin

The same year, Queen Alaza of Serbia, Christiné's grandmother died and the Grand Dauphin and his family went to play respect to the old Queen. He greeted his mother-in-law, the new Queen of Serbia, who he had only meet once before in 2036. He found the woman as polite and kind, but far to humble. When she abdicated the throne after a reign of six days for her brother, the Grand Dauphin protested saying that Christiné's brother, Prince Reschnov should have succeeded her.

The Grand Dauphin's travels took him to Espana and Derita, where he meet Carlos II and Christopher II respectively. He attended the weddings of two of his sister-in-laws and attended a diplomatic meeting in his mother's name in Londres, where he meet with the King of England. He was praised as a charming man and everyone seem to love him. However his mother though he was inappropriate and frowned upon his representative status for her. However has he encouraged him to mingle with the other royals.
