Roswalt Koch is the current Altish Minister of Reynish Affairs and a high-ranking member of the Vaterländisch Arbeiterpartei, in which he leads a sub-group informally called the Kochists. A noted figure in the Valkist hierarchy, Minister Koch's reputation varies widely. In Altenland proper, he is largely seen as a hero of Lyndanism and Altish pride, while the rest of the world views him as a morally deficit fanatic who has commited numerous atrocities in Reynland. He is a major leader within the religious Lyndanist community, and is known to take significant efforts in conversion efforts in occupied Reynland.

While Koch is offcially subordinate to the VLAP's leader, Hans Wright, he is *de facto* the leader of the Kochists, a sub-group of the party. The Kochists promote acts of violence and forced removal or conversion of "heretics" - those who are not Lyndanists. They also promote ultra-nationalism and war against non-Lyndanist states in Cybellum. It is alleged that Koch cultivates a cult of personality around him, viewing himself as a new prophet of Lyndanism, after the original prophet Hasteinn of Lyndanism.
