The New Social Code (Faldarunic: ᚿᛦᚱ ᚠᛂᛚᛆᚵᛋᛚᛂᚵᚢᚱ ᚴᚮᚧᛆ, tr. Nýr Félagslegur Kóða), sometimes incorrectly referred to as the Constitution of Faldarun, is the governing document and constitutional law of the Confederation of Faldarun. It was drafted and unanimously adopted by the Constitutional Convention of 1919 after the Faldarunic Civil War. The Code establishes Faldarun as a direct democratic confederation of freely associated communes, and establishes a society based on the principles of direct democracy, gender equality, social justice and sustainability. It outlines the role of the Lawspeaker, the Executive Council and the citizen.

Preamble
WE THE PEOPLE; THE PEASANTS, THE WORKERS, THE FARMERS, THE SHOPKEEPERS AND THE PRECARIAT, RECOGNISE THAT THE OLD ORDER CAN NO LONGER PROVIDE FOR THE COMMON WEALTH OF ALL PEOPLES IN THIS SOCIETY. THE BOURGEOISIE, THE NOBILITY, THE CLERGY AND THE OTHER PAWNS OF THE ESTABLISHMENT HAVE ENFORCED SERFDOM UPON ALL WORKING PEOPLE OF THIS NATION SINCE TIME IMMEMORIAL, YET THEIR REIGN HAS COME CRASHING DOWN. THE PEOPLE HAVE CAST DOWN THE OLD, TO ALLOW FOR THE RISE OF THE NEW. THE WORKERS OF FALDARUN HAVE, THROUGH UNION, BROKEN THEIR CHAINS. THEY NOW FOLLOW NO KING, NOR QUEEN, NO EMPEROR, NOR EMPRESS, NO MASTER, NOR MISTRESS. THE WORKING PEOPLE ARE, NOW, THE MASTERS OF THEIR OWN FATE. NO GODS, NO MASTERS, ONLY HUMANITY.
THEREFORE, THE PEOPLE OF THIS LAND FIND THAT A NEW SYSTEM OF UNITY AND GOVERNANCE SHOULD BE CRAFTED, UNDER THE PRINCIPLES OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY. THE NEW FALDARUN IS NO LONGER AUTOCRATIC, NO LONGER BOURGEOIS. WE FIND THAT THE DEMOCRATIC CONFEDERAL SYSTEM IS THE BEST SYSTEM TO ADDRESS THE NEEDS AND WISHES OF THE PEOPLE OF FALDARUN. DIRECT DEMOCRACY SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL HAVE A VOTE AND VOICE, COMMUNAL GOVERNANCE SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL COMMUNITIES ARE UNITED AND FUNCTIONAL, DECENTRALISATION SHALL ENSURE THAT ALL NEEDS OF ALL PEOPLE ARE MET, AND THE CONFEDERAL GOVERNMENT SHALL ENSURE THAT WE REMAIN UNITED ENOUGH TO SURVIVE THE ONSLAUGHT OF SLAVERS AND TYRANTS WHO SHALL SURELY WISH TO REVOKE OUR NEW-FOUND RIGHTS.
TOGETHER, WE ENDORSE THE CREATION OF A NEW SOCIETY, BASED ON THE PRINCIPLES OF DIRECT DEMOCRACY, OF THE EQUALITY OF THE GENDERS AND RIGHTS FOR ALL, OF SOCIAL JUSTICE, OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL SUSTAINABILITY. WE ENDORSE THE IDEALS AND IDEAS OF THE REVOLUTION, THE NOTION THAT ALL PEOPLE ARE CREATED EQUAL, THE NOTION THAT NONE SHOULD SUFFER AND THE NOTION THAT ALL HUMAN BEINGS HAVE UNDENIABLE, INALIENABLE RIGHTS. IT IS FOR THIS REASON THAT WE ENDORSE THE DEMOCRATIC CONFEDERALIST SYSTEM OF GOVERNANCE.
ERGO, WE ASSERT, THAT FROM THIS DAY UNTIL THE END OF DAYS, THE PEOPLE OF FALDARUN SHALL KNOW NO MASTERS OTHER THAN THEIR OWN CONSCIENCE, FREEDOM SHALL BE ACCORDED TO ALL AND THE DEMOCRATIC CONFEDERALIST SYSTEM OF GOVERNANCE SHALL BE ENACTED. NO GODS, NO MASTERS. AT LAST, MAN IS FREE.
