Royal Security Police Light Armored Battalions
The Radictistani Royal Security Police Light Armored Battalions are heavily-armed rapid response units organized and equipped to counter foreign incursions or major internal strife. The battalions are equipped with the MA9A2 Mobile Gun System, an eight-wheeled tank destroyer weighing twenty-five tonnes. Three battalions currently exist headquartered at Nuxenstat, Hartfer, and Wussrhas. Despite their official role of providing additional anti-tank support to the Royal Radictistan Army in a homeland defense scenario, the Light Armored Battalions are rumored to be intended as a counterweight to the army in the event of a power struggle between the two armed services.
Organization
A Light Armored Battalion consists of three companies each containing fourteen MA9A2s. The battalion commanding officer and executive officer each have their own personal vehicle making a total of forty-four mobile gun systems per battalion. The battalion Headquarters and Staff Company contains a signals platoon, service platoon, medical platoon, and maintenance platoon.
Disposition
The 1st Light Armored Battalion is garrisoned within the County of Greater Nuxenstat. The 2nd LAB is headquartered at Wussrhas in the County of Hyarpsur. Two companies are located in that city and a third is garrisoned in Capstat. The 3rd LAB is garrisoned in Hartfer, the capital of Norcustsur.
