History

Overview

The Hlavný Spravodajský Úrad was created in 1920 by Prime Minister Bratoslav Winograd by combining several smaller agencies to better unify the government reinforcement of local and provincial law enforcement. Their first operations consisted mainly of tracking down moonshiners during the Prohibition Era but soon began operating against the many organized crime groups which emerged during the 1930's and 40's.
