Dunkelheit (Dune-Kill-height) is the Commoner God of Darkness, the Void, and Cold Temperature. He was the second Gründer Götter born from Universum, using part of his soul and internal organs to give birth to him. Dunkelheit is among the most powerful of the gods in TECT Mythology and is characterized as being only second to his sister Sonnen- and older brother Weltall. Being the second born child, Dunkelheit was said to be born from the evil in Universum's soul and the darkness from within his heart. Dunkelheit is also associated with evil morality, voids (emptiness and alternate dimensions), and black holes; he is the polar opposite to his younger sister, Sonnen-, in terms of abilities and characteristics. In TECT Mythology, Dunkelheit played major roles in the Universe's development; although, his contributions were more or less reactions to his negative actions -- Dunkelheit also provided positive contributions to the Universe with his abilities. Dunkelheit is said to be the first true humanoid creature in the Universe, being born straight from Universum's humanoid form; Dunkelheit appears traditionally as a colossal bare skinned humanoid with large wings and horns; he is commonly surrounded by a thick clod like coat of darkness like shade that hides most of his being, his eyes glowed slightly of white light, and is sometimes known to be burning of black flames (which he uses as an offense weapon too). Dunkelheit, through examples, was not limited to his size and has been seen to be the size of planets, mortal man, and much much larger.
Dunkelheit contributed to the Universe most notably by accident and were not positive contributions much of the time. His very existence created blackness that had disappeared when Universum died; refilling the blackness when he was born and grew in power after birth. Dunkelheit also holds the most territory of the Gründer Götter gods; ruling over darkness, void-less space, and nothingness. According to "Origins" by the ancient writer "Arther", Dunkelheit ruled much of the Universe stating,
"Look to the stars & space; Sonnen- rules what is bright; Weltall rules what is in existence; Stein rules the planets and surfaces; the blackness you see, the nothingness to be seen, all of the dark blackness, is Dunkelheit's domain."
Dunkelheit is commonly seen as the birther of all that is dark and evil; he is seen as the first cause of conflict in the Universe and is widely known for his dark actions. Among Dunkelheit's consequences, spiral galaxies were believed to have been originated by Dunkelheit during the Black End; by placing massive black holes ("voids that sucked in everything and anything, light and mass") in the centers of galaxies to destroy them. Dunkelheit also brought into existence black holes by originally inhaling with all his strength to devour his sister Sonnen-, creating a super massive black hole which he could later replicate (the ability) using simpler methods, failing to to devour Sonnen- or kill her. Anti-matter was also first described to be Dunkelheit's creation; using it to form the thick shade of darkness ("the thick cloud like shade was deeply black. It radiated of pure blackness and seemed to be a different void in itself"), which he used similar to how Sonnen- created stars with plasma energies (both black holes and anti-matter).
Dunkelheit's inherit activities are the first signs of evil in the Universe. Although Dunkelheit did not wish to harm the Universe itself or even his siblings (which can be contested still); Dunkelheit wished for total power over everything and would do anything if given the chance to take that power, even kill his siblings if he must. In his last phase of life, Dunkelheit became notorious for his change in heart and downfall to become more of a devil then god. During Black End, Dunkelheit fought his older brother and younger sister, Weltall and Sonnen-, in a coup to gain power over everything. Dunkelheit believed that if he was able to defeat his siblings and devour them, he could acquire their abilities and become as powerful as his father Universum; killing them would be a settlement if given the chance. He was eventually defeated primarily by Weltall and punished by rebuilding entire galaxies which were destroyed by the colossal battles fought; the source of hellish planets and bizarre cosmic phenomenon caused by his mistakes. This loss sadly only brought Dunkelheit down to lower morality, "His loss corrupted him further. Dunkelheit was not saddened, he was more darkened if anything. As his cloud thickened, horns and claws sharpened, and void shrank -- Dunkelheit waged conflict more or less with the Universe itself." Dunkelheit is seen as at his lowest near the Earths completion by interfering and creating both darkness and night time, deep dark depths at the bottom of oceans, and waging small conflict with his siblings. As much as his morality shrank, Dunkelheit is still known for his intelligence and power. Dunkelheit is always seen as a challenger to his siblings and that he embodies both the darkness and rage.
Dunkelheit's actions were not always negative. Darkness and coolness to his void protects planets from being scorched by stars made by Sonnen-; space is less clogged because of Dunkelheit's darkness (anti-matter) and black holes; and spiral galaxies were created by his actions. Although mostly negative, Dunkelheit's roles in TECT Mythology have had large consequences that have swayed from positive to negative. Dunkelheit's fall to evil is seen as the first tragedy in history; he is also disliked by many because he created warfare by waging conflict with his siblings starting with Black End. Dunkelheit's influence spreads through the Universe still by keeping it black, being the origin of evil in the Universe, and making the Universe primarily cold; the death of Dunkelheit is portrayed as being alone, empty, cold, and to being uncontrollably enraged -- Dunkelheit vanished to black dust nothingness in his dark black void, without being noticed or missed. His tragic fall to demon-hood is used in TECT Mythology as a moral warning about the corruption of power and greed -- often called the "Dunkelheit Affect" within TECT.
