The B-37 Gailtean (English: sylph) is a two-seat tactical bomber variant of the fifth-generation twin-engine stealth fighter of the same name designed and built by the Ossorian aerospace defense company Tionscail Ríoga Aeraspáis (TRA). The Gailtean uses a trapezoidal wing configuration as well as an all-moving butterfly tail to reduce aerodynamic drag at transonic speeds, as well as various stealth features including serpentine air intakes to reduce its radar signature and heat-ablating tiles around its exhaust troughs to reduce its infrared signature from ground-based detection, and is also capable of supercruising. It is outfitted with a single weapons bay on the underside of the aircraft, capable of carrying a variety of CSN-standard ground-attack weapons and perform an array of missions including deep air support and suppression of enemy air defenses.
Design and development
Armament
The B-37 is outfitted with one internal weapons bay, located on the bottom of the fuselage between the engine nacelles. This weapons bay is outfitted to carry a variety of bombs and ground-attack missiles internally, preserving the aircraft's stealth profile.
