Gerard Canillac (Gerard Roland Canillac) is a member of the powerful House Canillac of Brytene, and is the current heir to the titles and fortunes of the House. He is a noted fencer and works for his father, Sir Arthur Canillac, in the shipping trade.
Biography
Family
The House Canillac dynasty is a powerful family in the south. They own large stakes in the Hlaford Shipyards and are known for their wide shipping and trade portfolio, as well as owning the SpearCorp Solutions private military company. Sir Arthur Canillac is the most prominent Catholic in the country, as well as a respected economist and business magnate.
Early Life
Born on the 12th of March 1986, Gerard lived an easy early life. Educated in humanities and economics, he was sent to Kings College Lundene to study Finance and Management. It was here that he took up fencing in earnest, winning several medals on behalf of his university.
Career
After graduating, Gerard returned to Whitebay to work in the family company. He oversees much of the logistical and business-to-business aspect of the consumer-centric departments of the business.
He organised a major contract with the Medvedev Steel Works Company based in Ostropovol, Stasnov, providing shipping services to the worker-run factory concern. It was here that Gerard learned to speak Stasnovan Russian.
Personal life
Gerard is married to Clara Martin of Acronius, the winner of the Miss Atlas 2015 beauty pageant. The two met in 2014 during a concert in Victory Park, Defense, where Gerard's sister Celeste was playing. He speaks fluent French, Arabic, and Russian.
