The Myrmeke was a main battle tank built by the Republic of Syara. The first tank built by Syara after the Siduri War, the Myrmeke was a radical departure from previous Syaran doctrine and design philosophy. Incorporating lessons learned fighting armored vehicles of the Common Axis, the Myrmeke featured an iconic dome shaped turret and low profile silhouette that differed from most contemporary tank designs from the post-Great War period. Relatively cheap to produce and easy to manufacture, the design was popular with the Army of the Syaran Republic, though less liked by its crews who consideded it cramped and uncomfortable. More than 6,000 Mymekes were built, making it the most produced Syaran tank in history, and more than a dozen recorded variants. The Myrmeke was used by both the Wardens and the Royalists during the Refusal War. Some Myrmekes continue to be used by the Realm Defense Forces of Syara.
