The CMGS Mark I Vortice (English: Vortex) is a Cacertian six-wheeled amphibious armored reconnaissance vehicle that entered service with the Royal Army in 1981. Very heavily inspired by the Knichan Ratel, the Vortice saw extensive service as part of the Cacertian Intervention Force in Knichus during the FedCom Civil War where it was well-suited for rapid offensives. Its strategic mobility allowed it to operate in tandem with mechanized infantry units and cross the vast distances characterized by the fighting in Knichus.

The success of the Vortice and subsequent contract saved Bonple Armament Manufacturers from bankruptcy. Many of its innovations were later incorporated and improved upon in the development of the Fulmine MGS.
