The CLT Mark VI Coniglio (English: Rabbit) is a Cacertian light tank that serves as an armored reconnaissance vehicle for the Cacertian Royal Army. It was designed to be a lighter, more mobile modern tank that could effectively operate in regions where the heavier Ariete and Tuono could have difficulties traversing. The CLT Mark VI entered service with the Royal Army in 2015 and primarily fulfills the role of scouting vehicle in the Kingdom's armored divisions and amphibious assault divisions.
The adoption of the main battle tank concept in 1967—with the introduction of the Strv 104 Lynx—meant that the classifications of heavy, medium, and light were outdated. Despite this, however, the Coniglio was considered too heavy to be classified as a reconnaissance vehicle and too light to be considered a main battle tank, thereby the Coniglio is the only tank in service classified outside of the Royal Army’s current conventions.
