Founding
In 2048, the treasury did a report and calculated that if everyone followed certain ethical standards (as defined by Kantian Ethics), the government would save billions of pounds. In order to save this money the government instituted the Ministry of Righteous Action In Life or M.O.R.A.L. (inspired by an A-Level philosophy textbook by Jeremy Hayward, Gerald Jones and Daniel Cardinal that the Minister of Education had read).
Activities
Experts in Ethics have been appointed as Doctors of Ethics (E.Docs) to give people ethical prescriptions when they are considering a course of action (These people are indeed Doctors of Philosophy, often in ethics).
Controversy
The Liberal-Conservatives along with the newspapers that supported them have denounced the ministry as "Orwellian" and engaged in "indoctrination"
