1. The General Assembly first sat in 1800, under the provisions of the 1800 Hope Colony Constitution Act

The Hope Colony was an Estmerish colony that existed on the eastern coast of the island of Satavia from 1747 until it's unification with the Orange Colony to form the Colony of Satavia in 1815.

The colony came under Estmerish rule when it was ceeded from the Duchy of Flamia in the aftermath of the Estmerish-Hennish War of 1747. The first colonial governor appointed by Estmere, Sir Charles Lambert, arrived in the colony in December 1747. Lambert began the process of converting the colony from a Hennish one into an Estmerish one, displeasing many of the Hennish settlers in the process. In 1771, due to the abolition of the slave trade in the Estmerish Empire, tensions reached a boiling point, and Pienaar's Revolt began in the outer regions of the Hope Colony.
