Citizenship in Sharifistan

Citizenship in Sharifistani law obliges allegiance to the Sultan of Sharifistan and grants the right to remain in Sharifistan unless under a sentence of exile after a fair trial. Sharifistani law refers to Muslim citizens as Kişi-nin-Ba’yah and citizens of other religions as Zımmi.

By blood (jus sanguinus)

Anyone with Sharifistani father or other ancestor in the male line can be considered Sharifistani.

By birth on Sharifistani soil (jus soli)

A person “born on any land subject to Sharifistani rule.” is considered a Sharifistani citizen.

By naturalisation

Anyone who has lived and worked in Sharifistan for three or more years (which were not spent serving a sentence in prison) can be considered a citizen of Sharifistan. Citizenship is also granted to anyone killed or wounded fighting for Sharifistan (Gazi-nin-Sharifistan). Naturalisation can also occur by marriage, the spouse of a Sharifistani is considered a Sharifistani.

A Sharifistani citizen can only have dual citizenship with these countries:

Member states of the Traditionalist Military Alliance

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Turkey
