Political Divisions
The Empire of Asturica consists of 23 constituent member-states (three kingdoms, four principalities, two grand duchies, eleven duchies, and three autonomous municipal administrations). These member-states - with the notable exception of the three autonomous municipal administrations of Sadena, Viassa, and Salegre - are governed as constitutional or semi-constitutional monarchies with their own noble families as well as their own elected officials and legislatures, all of which are subserviant to the Asturican Emperor and the Imperial Assembly. The autonomous municipal administrations do not have ruling noble families and instead exist as sub-national constituent republics with elected governors and municipal legislatures.
