Messina Viari (born 24 September 1997) is a Cacertian chess master, commentator, and livestreamer who is the current Cacertian Chess Champion. She first reached the top of the FSC's rankings in 2017 and currently maintains the highest classical rating of 2770 in the nation's history. Defined by her universal style, Messina utilizes a variety of openings and strategies that make it difficult for opponents to prepare and also reduces the effect of computer analysis.
In Cacerta, Messina has become a chess icon both for her skill as well as her usage of modern social media platforms to promote the sport.
